CARLES
Carlès, born and raised Brussels, is a RIDE coach with a unique background in Japanese Studies and proficiency in five languages. Ironically, despite his initial disinterest in sports or movement, he discovered his passion for RIDE, viewing it as a liberating experience that connected him with his body like nothing else could. Before auditioning at ANIMO, he had already been playing around with the idea of becoming a coach, but never thought he’d do it. Now, he thinks it’s the best thing he’s ever done.
Carlès believes in taking the work seriously but not oneself, encouraging riders to shed their expectations and self-imposed limitations. In his classes, you can expect supportive environment where every achievement is celebrated. Carlès fosters a space for experimentation, challenging riders to approach (not exceed) their limits and gently push them further with each RIDE.
His teaching style is best described as humorous, energetic, lighthearted. On the contrary, you may also find him screaming through the mic to an intense, fast-pace techno beat.

I want to give riders the opportunity to take up a challenge and explore their hidden capacities, not to exceed their physical limits. It's not about how it looks, but about what you do and how it feels, regardless of where you are in your journey.

"Stay in your saddle and work on the legs." Patience and appreciating the small steps of progress is key to getting where you need to be.
