Dylan Van Calck

Train smarter, not harder!

“Train is about pushing the boundaries further and further every time to become the strongest version of yourself in all possible ways. The only limits you have during this class, is the ones you set yourself.”

This kickboxer loves everything that involves human movement. His passion? Helping people become a stronger version of themselves.

If you’re looking for endorphins during your workout, he’s your guy !

Dylan is born in Belgium and speaks English, French and Dutch.

His teaching style. “Having fun”. He is there to help and guide you, he makes sure you will push your limits. You don't have to be good to start, but you have to start to be good !

His shake? The Gainer, for obvious reasons.

What does ANIMO (RIDE, TRAIN, MOVE) mean to you? ANIMO is about creating a community of people from all different backgrounds where we can all come together to encourage eachother to become a better version of ourselves, no matter the level you're starting at.

Why do you love coming to animo? ANIMO is the the place where everyone is welcome to come work out and enjoy a nice refreshing shake.

What do you like the most about TRAIN ? TRAIN to me is the most complete, functional workout there is. You come here to push, pull and run. All your basic movements will be challenged to make sure you will improve.

What is your happy place besides ANIMO? Whever my family is, is where I'll have my happy place.

What do you tell yourself when it’s get tough during a RIDE/TRAIN/MOVE class?Remember why you're doing it. You might hate it now, but you will thank yourself in the long term. You won't be able to buy health, so make sure you take care of yourself while you still can.

How can you experience your fist class? Your first class is an experience where you'll be able to test yourself to see where your level is at. Working with minutes instead of sets allows everyone to do what they can do depending on their level without injuring themselves. Whether you give me 5 push ups or 50 in one minute, all I care about is that you're doing your best. Quality above quantity.

How did you get into (train, move, ride) and what made you want to become an instructor? I'll have to Thank my friend and fellow instructor for introducing me to ANIMO. My job is to make sure people push their boundaries in a safe and healthy way. There is no other place like ANIMO where I can do that in the same way.

How does that translate into your classes? What’s your style and philosophy? Come the vibe, embrace the struggle and enjoy the results.

What can clients expect from you? How do you hope to make them feel after class? Clients can expect me to be there to help them through the whole class to make sure that each and every exercise is done In a way that will improve their daily life outside of ANIMO.

Here’s the music he is loving now.
