Bruce Chung

For over a decade and across four continents, Bruce Chung has dedicated himself to inspiring yogis around the world. From Toronto to Singapore, Hong Kong to Dublin, and Bangkok to Cape Town, his personal practice is as varied as the places he has lived, and he has cultivated a teaching style that reflects his global perspective.

Bruce’s thirst for knowledge has led him to acquiring thousands of hours of training from world-renowned teachers. His greatest teachers, however, are the students he’s had the privilege of guiding, which provides ongoing texture and dimension to his continually evolving practice. Bruce believes that the path of yoga is a life-long expedition to self-reflection and realisation, and is passionate about sharing this message through his classes.

English is his first language, he can also speak a bit of Tagalog, French, Thai, and Spanish.

His teaching style. His classes are well-paced, and focus on progressive strength-building with functional movement, all the while being accessible to all-levels. His calming presence can mislead you to think that the class will be chill, but after a few minutes of intelligent preparation, you’ll be lunge-deep in the work. Call it a “sneak attack”.

His favourite city. Cape Town is arguably the most beautiful city in the world. With mountains and sea as its backdrop, Cape Town offers views like no other. If that wasn't enough, the food scene is high quality, much like the teachers in the movement & fitness space.

His favourite restaurant. The Wild Lab. Conscious Cafe in Brussels, inspired by nature.

The classes he teaches.
Core flow
- The emphasis is less on yoga postures and more on exercises designed to help you feel your abs and build a strong core.
Flow on hiphop - In this energetic practice, you will be guided through an intelligent and functional flow with hip-hop as your soundtrack.
